Last updated: 7/17/2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SeeMyBJJ, a video replay and training platform for martial arts academies (the “Service”), operated by SeeMyBJJ (“SeeMyBJJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

The Service is provided to martial arts academies (“Academies”) and to the instructors, staff, and students they authorize (“Users”). Access is granted through an Academy’s account. You may only use the Service if:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or you are a minor using the Service under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian and your Academy; and
  • You have been authorized to access an Academy’s account, or you are an authorized administrator of that Academy.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an Academy, you represent that you are authorized to bind that Academy to these Terms.

2. Accounts and access

Authentication is provided through our identity provider(s), including third-party sign-in (such as Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at info@seemybjj.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Access to the Service is invite-based and controlled by each Academy’s administrators. We may suspend or revoke access at the request of an Academy administrator or if we believe these Terms have been violated.

3. The Service

SeeMyBJJ enables Academies to capture, store, and replay video of classes and training sessions; to tag, clip, and organize footage; and to give authorized Users access to that footage for training and instructional purposes. Features may change over time.

The Service records video in physical training spaces using cameras installed at the Academy. The Academy is responsible for obtaining any consents required from individuals who appear in recorded footage and for posting appropriate notice that recording is taking place. See Section 6.

4. Your content and footage

Academy Content. Video footage, images, tags, notes, class information, and other materials uploaded to or created within the Service (“Content”) belong to the Academy or the individuals who created or appear in them. We do not claim ownership of your Content.

License to us. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, encode, transmit, and display Content solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service (for example, transcoding video for playback, generating thumbnails, and enabling search). This license ends when Content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup retention periods and the limits described in our Privacy Policy.

Your responsibilities. You are responsible for the Content you upload and for ensuring you have the rights and consents necessary to record, upload, and share it. You must not upload Content that is unlawful, infringes others’ rights, or was recorded without required consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
  • Record or upload footage of individuals without consent required by law or by your Academy;
  • Access footage or accounts you are not authorized to access;
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Redistribute, sell, or publicly post footage of other individuals without their consent;
  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm any person.

6. Recording, consent, and privacy of individuals

Because the Service records identifiable individuals in a physical space, privacy obligations are significant. The Academy operating the cameras is the party responsible for compliance with applicable recording, consent, biometric, and privacy laws in its jurisdiction, including obtaining consent from students (or parents/guardians of minors) and posting notice of recording.

SeeMyBJJ acts as a service provider that processes footage on the Academy’s behalf. We provide tools (such as access controls and deletion) to help Academies meet their obligations, but we do not determine what is recorded or who is captured.

7. Minors

Academies frequently offer youth programs. Footage may capture minors. If your Academy records minors:

  • The Academy must obtain verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before recording, storing, or sharing footage of a minor;
  • Access to footage of minors must be limited to authorized Users consistent with the Academy’s policies and applicable law;
  • A parent or guardian may request deletion of footage of their child through the Academy or by contacting us at info@seemybjj.com.

The Service is not directed to children for independent use. Minors may appear in footage and may use the Service only under the supervision and consent of a parent/guardian and their Academy.

8. Fees and payment

Access to the Service may be subject to fees agreed between SeeMyBJJ and the Academy in a separate order or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice. [ADJUST OR REMOVE IF PRICING TERMS LIVE ELSEWHERE.]

9. Storage and retention

Footage and data are stored using third-party infrastructure providers (including cloud storage and video hosting services). Retention periods for footage may be configured by the Academy or set by us as part of a service plan. When footage is deleted, we remove it from active systems and it is purged from backups within a commercially reasonable period. See the Privacy Policy for details.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for authentication, video hosting and delivery, storage, search, email, and hosting. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

11. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — is owned by SeeMyBJJ and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it as described.

12. Termination

An Academy may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, Academy Content may be deleted after a reasonable period; contact us to arrange export before termination where feasible.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that footage will never be lost. Martial arts training carries inherent physical risk; the Service is a recording and replay tool and is not a substitute for qualified instruction or supervision.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEEMYBJJ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, FOOTAGE, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE [TWELVE (12) MONTHS] PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR [ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100)] IF NO AMOUNTS WERE PAID.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SeeMyBJJ from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your failure to obtain consents required for recorded footage.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or a notice in the Service). Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [TEXAS], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS], and you consent to their jurisdiction. [ADJUST TO YOUR ENTITY’S JURISDICTION.]
